 | The NT$100 note issued in 2001 has a main color of red and a size of 145mm x 70mm. The obverse highlights a portrait of Dr. Sun, Yat-sen. Two precious examples of Dr. Sun's calligraphy "Love of Mankind" and "The Great Commonwealth from the Book of Rites" form the background, exemplifying his ideal that "The world is for all mankind." The relief carving next to the portrait, appropriately named "Close to the People", illustrates Dr. Sun's amiability.
